Installation
Use the provided key to open the dispenser. Install the three D cell batteries. The lcd screen will then show the default settings. Follow the included instructions to program the current time and scenting events.
The D75 will diffuse for up to 20 seconds. We recommend starting at 5–8 seconds and adjusting from there as needed. Pause time can be up to 900 seconds. We recommend somewhere in the 200–450 second range.
The D75 will fit on the D50 backplate, which makes it easy to install if you’re upgrading. You can also install a security screw into the backplate to help prevent theft.
We recommend installing the backplate with #6 drywall or general purpose screws and anchors.
Installation Tips
- Use 3 screws in the wall plate for extra strength.
- Diffusers typically are placed 7ft high on the wall.
- Keep units at least 3 feet from smoke detectors.
Air-Flow Tips
- Look for a place near air flow that will pull scent into the targeted space. If the diffuser is too close to return air vents or doors that open frequently, the scent will be pulled away in the wrong direction.
- One way gauge air flow is to start up a unit, carry it around your space (don’t tip it!), and watch the scent plume for movement. Backlighting the plume can help you see it better.
Maintenance
If the oils are not atomizing properly, you can check the batteries and run isopropyl alchohol through the unit for 5-10 minutes to clear any obstruction.
