One of the biggest challenges to starting your own business can be finding the cash to get it off the ground. But if you’re a military veteran, many franchise brands will discount the start-up costs.
Military Times compiles a ranking of the best franchises for veterans each year. The 2014 Best for Vets franchise rankings were compiled based on companies’ responses to their detailed survey of more than 100 questions, as well as their Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDD).
Nearly every responding company indicated that they offer some sort of discount to current or former service members or their families on the initial franchise fee required to start a business. Aire-Master currently offers a 10% discount to military veterans.
Marketing franchise opportunities to veterans is increasing with the number of military personnel that are returning to the United States after being deployed in various parts of the world. The U.S. government has also established financial programs to help veterans to start their own businesses.
Military Times ranked Aire-Master number 31 in their Best for Vets 2014 top franchises for veterans. We are pleased to have a large number of veterans in our franchise system, and we are honored to be included again on the Military Times list.
