The Aire-Master system is saddened today with the news that Ramon Valdez, Aire-Master of North Jersey franchisee, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2014. He was 48. Ramon began his franchise on May 21, 2007.
Ramon previously worked for a manufacturer of body implants, including hip, knee, and shoulder replacements. He was one of their top machinists and knew someday the company would be relocating their manufacturing operation to China.
He wanted to start a business to be prepared for this relocation. After starting his Aire-Master franchise, Ramon quickly began building his customer base, all the while watching his employer downsize the company through relocation. In 2013, Ramon was the last employee and was sent to China to train his replacement. He then began working his franchise full time.
In August 2012, Ramon helped his good friend Rionel Cabrera become an Aire-Master franchisee for Essex County, New Jersey. Rionel and Ramon worked very closely together as they helped build each other’s franchise.
Ricky Luna is Ramon’s nephew and also helped Ramon and Rionel with their service. Ricky has been a vital part of their growth as well. Ricky and Ramon’s son John are currently servicing the customers and operating the Route-Master software during this time of loss.
They have everything covered and will be the support into the future as the family works through their loss. We want to thank them for their hard work and communication to the Aire-Master system. We appreciate them very much and also want to thank the neighboring franchises for their support as well.
Ramon leaves his wife Synthia and four children: Jose (age 19), John Adam (age 18), Jerelyn (age 3) and Kevin (age 1).
